LightCalc

LightCalc performs lighting calculations using the industry standard TM14 photometric data file format. All reputable British manufacturers of luminaries use this photometric data format so virtually any luminaire may be used for calculating lighting schemes. Calculations are to CIBSE guidelines and use lumen method calculations for internal lighting and point source calculations for exterior lighting.

LightCalc is supplied with photometric data for more than 3000 luminaries including data for the following manufacturers:-

• Philips Lighting
• Thorn Lighting
• Fitzgerald Lighting
• Tamlite

Additional photometric data may be obtained direct from most leading lighting manufacturers; simply ask for data files in TM14 file format.

A comprehensive range of photometric data is supplied with the program and additional manufacturers’ photometric data may be added by the user. Calculations are to CIBSE guidelines and are for the lumen method for most internal lighting and point source calculations for area and roadway lighting.

Fully dimensioned layouts are displayed with provision for plain or tiled ceiling layouts with numerous layout options. Luminaire quantities may be increased or decreased at the touch of a button. Detailed print outs may be produced for the calculation data as well as for the layout of the lighting scheme (which may be saved as a graphic file for printing separately or exporting to a desktop publishing or word processing package).
